SEO AND SECURITY RANK YOUR WEBSITE WITH SSL CERTIFICATE.

Higher ranking for their website is the aim and goal of any website owner or blogger. In order for your website not to be ranked low or pushed below other SSL certified website, you need to secure your website with SSL.

SSL Secure Sockets Layer is the standard technology used to encrypt the link between a web server and a browser. This link will ensure that any data that is passed between the web server and the browser remain private and secure.

Google has been ranking websites with SSL certificate higher for some time now, in the last 2 or 3 years. According to Google, websites with secure SSL will be rank higher than websites without SSL. When your site or any website is  SSL secured you would see a green lock in the URL and secured will be written before https. Also, HTTP will change to https.

They are free SSL certificate and paid but it is advisable to get a paid one if you want because the free SSL is just about 50% strong as they say but it does the same job if you ask me.

What is SSL and what does it do?
In summary, when you have SSL certificate it comes with a key code, when a connection is made between two servers exchanging the SSL certificate including the key sends a copy of its self to the other server for the secure information to be received. This happens so that hackers cannot hijack your credit card details or any other essential information being transferred over the internet because the easiest way to get your information is to set up a dummy site for you to fill in your details.
